Bio

Rosabel Roig-Vila has a Ph.D. in Pedagogy from the University of Alicante (Spain), with honors (Summa cum laude and Extraordinary Award). She is currently a Professor at the University of Alicante, Spain, where she worked as Dean of Education and currently holds the position of Chair of e-learning postgraduate studies. She is Editor of NAER-Journal of New Approaches in Educational Research (http://naerjournal.ua.es). She is also the Director of the Education Sciences Institute at the University of Alicante. She specializes in ICT and Education, a topic on which she has published numerous articles and given lectures in several universities worldwide. Among these publications we could mention Investigar el Cambio Curricular en el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (2007) and La articulación de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación en la educación (New York: Edwin Mellen Press, 2003). She is the coordinator of e-Accesible Project, funded and awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MICINN: IPT-430000-2010-29); she is also a research member of ICT and Education R+D at IVITRA (http://www.ivitra.ua.es) and within ISIC/IVITRA she is a member of Digicotracam (Prometeo-2009-042, ISIC/2012/022). She has received the “Education and Society Award” (1995) from the MICINN. She is currently a member of several research projects in Spanish and European universities. She coordinates the following educational and research networks: EDUTIC, EDUONLINE and ARTICUA. Since 2003 she is the Chair of the following postgraduate studies programs (ICT, Education and e-learning, http://www.edutic.ua.es/master/) at the University of Alicante: Máster en Educación y Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación.
