Gabriel Ensenyat Pujol holds a Ph.D. in Medieval History from the University of the Balearic Islands. He is a Professor at the Dept. of Catalan Philology at University of the Balearic Islands and a member of ISIC-IVITRA. He is the author of over 60 publications dealing with medieval Catalan literature and history. Among them we could mention: La reintegració de la Corona de Mallorca a la Corona d´Aragó (1343-1349); Història de la literatura catalana a Mallorca a l´Edat Mitjana; Ferrando Valentí i la seva família; Cançoner Aguiló: edició facsímil, transcripció i comentaris; Els nous horitzons culturals a Mallorca al final de l´Edat Mitjana; Clergues il·lustrats. Un cercle humanista a l’entorn de la Seu de Mallorca (1450-1550) (2013); and an edition of J.B. Binimelis´s Sobre els vicis de les dones i el seu tarannà variable (2014). He has published several translations into contemporary Catalan of Ramon Llull´s works and of Jaume I´s Llibre dels feits. He is a member of the Agència de Gestió d’Ajuts i Recursos Universitaris (AGAUR) of the Generalitat de Catalunya. He was the Secretary of the Societat Arqueològica Lul·liana, and is currently “magister” of the “Maioricensis Schola Lullistica” and member of the Patronat Baltasar Porcel. In 2008 he was awarded the Premi Emili Darder (Obra Cultural Balear).
