Bio

Robert Archer holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oxford, where he wrote a Dissertation about AusiàsMarch. He has worked as a Professor at La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia, 1981-1997), TheUniversity of Durham (1997-2005), and King´s College (London). He is currently Cervantes ProfessorEmeritus, King´s College, and Professor Honorari, Universitat de València. He has published numerousbooks on medieval Iberian Peninsula literature (particularly Valencian) and the Spanish Golden Age. Heis the author of a monumental bilingual edition of the complete works of Ausiàs March (Cátedra,Colección Letras Hispánicas). His book of poems El nombre de los pájaros has been recently publishedwith Spanish translations by Guillermo Carnero.
