Bio

Jordi M. Antolí is a member of the DIGICOTRACAM project (ref. PROMETEOII/2014/018) at the Dept. of Catalan Philology of the University of Alicante and He is a member of the Institut Superior d'Investigació Cooperativa IVITRA (ISIC-IVITRA) (Universitat d'Alacant); and the Internationales Institut für Iberische Studien (Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg). His work deals with the analysis of Catalan Diachronic Linguistics, Cognitive Linguistics and Construction Grammar. He has especialized in the analysis of evidentiality. Among his publications we could mention “De l’expressió de la percepció sensorial auditiva a l’expressió del discurs reportat. El verb sentir en català medieval (s. XIII–XVI)” (Zeitschrift fu?r Katalanistik 29), “The Creation of an Evidencial of Inference in Medieval Catalan. The Verb témer during the 13th-15th Centuries” (eHumanista: Journal of Iberian Studies. eHumanista/IVITRA 8) and “Voler + INFINITIVE in Catalan: from the imminence aspectual periphrasis to the epistemic and evidential marker (from the 13th century to the present day)” (Catalan Journal of Linguistics 14). His latest book is entitled Els verbs de percepció en català antic (Barcelona: Publicacions de l’Abadia de Montserrat/IIFV, 2017).
